Clara was born January 16, 1917 in Comanche, Texas to Myers and Nannie Moore and went to be with her Lord and beloved husband on March 3, 2010. Clara had 4 sisters and 3 brothers, all of which have preceded her in death except one sister Dollie Stephens, of Corona, CA. Clara married Paul Bailey on May 13, 1934. They had 4 children; Ralph Duane, Roger Earl, Berkeley Van (Pete) and Paula Louise. They were married 57 years. Clara's husband and son Ralph Duane preceded her in death. Clara had many jobs in her life, but was most proud of the work she did at Texas Instruments. She had a thirst for knowledge and was a prolific reader. After retiring and moving from Dallas to Lake Tawakoni, she commuted to Dallas to take a bookkeeping and typing course. Later she decided she wanted to go to cosmetology school and open a beauty shop. She had many hobbies, including working in the yard, sewing, reading, playing dominoes with her special group, music, writing poetry and crocheting. Most of all, she loved her family, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and always wanted to know how everyone was doing. Clara has 7 grandchildren:, Carl Horton, Livonia, Michigan, B.V. (Pete) Bailey Jr, Plano, Texas, Lea Ann Jackson, Burleson, Texas, Chris Lacy, Wilmington, North Carolina, Jennifer Bailey, San Antonio, Texas, Chad Lacy, Huntersville, North Carolina, Brent Bailey, Plano, Texas, 8 great grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews; of whom she was very proud. Clara spent her last few years in Pinehurst, North Carolina under the beloved care of her daughter Paula and enjoyed being there, but would let you know right away it wasn't Texas. She did love Texas and her Dallas Cowboys.
