Anne M. Armezzani, 91, a lifelong Jessup resident, died Sunday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton following a brief illness. She was the wife of Dominick Armezzani, who died in 1962. Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rose Baldoni Casagrande. She was a graduate of Jessup High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and was employed at Mercy Hospital in the cardiac intensive care unit for 30 years before her retirement. She was a regulated procedures volunteer for the Lackawanna County Chapter of the American Red Cross for 20 years, a member of the Mid-Valley Senior Community Center and a member of Queen of Angels Parish at St. Mary's Assumption Church in Jessup. Anne was a loving and caring individual who extended her care to anyone in need outside of the hospital setting. She loved to be surrounded by her family and loved cooking and providing for her family. She enjoyed her grandsons and her life's purpose was always helping others. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Mario, Tersilio, Ernest and Patsy Casagrande; and a sister, Mary. The funeral will be Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Queen of Angels Parish at St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
