Doris J. Albert, 77, of South Scranton, died Friday at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, after an illness. She was the wife of Richard J. Albert Sr., who died in 2003. Born in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lavinia Moreland Henderson. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish in South Scranton and, before retirement, she was a career employee of Keystone City Residence. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Edith Raffensperger, Esta Brinning, Geneva Robinson, Ethel Raffensperger, Ina Ginevan and Eva Stephans; and two brothers, Boyd and Earlsel Henderson. The funeral will be Thursday from the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Ave., Scranton, followed by interment at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. The family requests that those attending the funeral on Thursday proceed directly to the church. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
