Esther Angelella, 98, of Pittston, died Wednesday in Wesley Village, Jenkins Twp. Born in Pittston on April 17, 1916, daughter of the late Michael Catell and Olympia Tavani Catell, she was a graduate of Pittston High School. She was a homemaker and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She was a member of the former St. Rocco's Church, now St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Angelella; and siblings, Anna Serino, Peter Catell, Anthony Catell and Rose Gorgone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston. Interment, St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Twp.
