Mr. Adams retired from the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator .He was a pioneer with the first missile program as well as retiring as an instrument mechanic with Union Carbide Corporation, Y-12 Facility. He was a member of Oak Ridge Primitive Baptist Church. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed ballroom and square dancing as well as hunting and fishing, and was an avid genealogist.
