Sir Nathaniel Conant married Sarah Whiston, daughter of John Whiston, in 1776. He held the office of Police Magistrate of Marlborough Street, and the office of Chief Magistrate of Bow Street. He was invested as a Knight in 1813.

Also of his wife, Mary, daughter of the Rev. William Wake / Rector of Walgrave, Northampronshire, first cousin of Archbishop Wake. / She was distinguished by superior qualities of mind and person. / Died April 9th 1773 Æt.61 Buried in this chancel.
