Peter Ralph Antonino passed away peacefully, holding the hand of his beloved wife, Sandra and embraced in the love of his family on July 29, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Pete was born on October 13, 1929 in Fresno, CA to Nellie and Joseph Antonino. He attended San Joaquin Memorial High School, graduating in 1948. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a sailor on a ship stationed in Juneau, Alaska.

After returning to Fresno, he met the love of his life, Sandra Helen Scheidt, and they married on June 1, 1957. Pete and Sandra had three children.

Pete accepted an opportunity to work at Sylvania in Santa Cruz and his young family moved to Aptos in April of 1968. He later made a career in Quality Assurance with Lockheed in Santa Cruz.

Pete was a loving husband and father, a devout Catholic, and he participated in many of the activities of his children. He was known and loved for his humor, smiles and laughter. He played the piano and had a magnificent silky baritone voice. He and Sandra enjoyed dancing and they were in a bowling league.

Sandra, joined him in eternity on August 3, 2015, within just five days of his passing. Pete is survived by his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Mike Schoessow; son Lawrence (Larry) and daughter-in-law Pamela Manganaro; son Robert and daughter-in-law Christina; grandchildren Alysha, Stefan, Arik (Schoessow), Lauren and Matthew; brothers Victor and Vincent; sister Mary (Walbeck).

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 435 Monterey Ave, Capitola, CA on Wednesday September 16, 2015, at 1:00 pm. We invite you to give a donation in his name to the Alzheimer's Association at http://act.alz.org/goto/PeteAntonino in lieu of flowers.
