John Walter Bentsen died of a heart defect when he was 10 years old.

John was a very sweet boy. He was sick from the time he was born until he died. He had his bad days and good days.
When he was was well he was full of life and pep and always on the go. He liked fishing and hunting with his daddy. John had a dog "Tippy". He trained him to pull him on the sleigh. He liked to go to the grocery store for his mother. John was always with his daddy when he was home. When his daddy's train came in he would always go to meet him. John was a great boy for his for his mother. He was always with his mother and helped her when she was cooking or doing anything. He was everything to his parents, and brothers and sister's. He enjoyed life to the utmost. He was very smart in school. He liked to embroidery and sew.

Funeral Services For Young Boy
John Walter Bentsen, born July 19, 1929, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Chris Bentsen, died November 13 of an heart ailment. In addition to the parents he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. DuRell Moss of Ogden, Utah; Virl Bentsen and La Vonda Bentsen of Montpelier; and four bothers, Carl Gerald, Florin and Alfred Bentsen of Monpelier. The following funeral services were held in the Fourth Ward Chapel, November 15; Duet, Mrs. Angie Arnold and Mrs. Teina Armatage, invocation, Fred Bartlome; vocal solo, "New Star In Heaven," F. M. Williams; speaker, Bishop Warren Sirrine;
vocal solo, "My Little Rosebud Has Left Me," Mr. Williams;
speaker, Bishop J. J. Sarbach; vocal duet, Mrs. Howard Heniger and Mrs. B. E. Mumford; benediction, Bishop Sirrine.
The services were under the direction of Bishop Eugene Shepherd.
Arrangements by the F. M. Williams Mortuary.
