Lucy was the daughter of Lovell & Rebecca {Eager} Barnes of Marlborough. She married Jackson Arnold on 29 October 1823 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Mass. She and Jackson Arnold had two children, Maria(h) b. 1824 and Stephen Hartwell Arnold b. 1828. Stephen died at less than 3 months and is buried with his mother who died later that year, as shown on her marker. Daughter, Maria, married William Bush Babcock on 11 October 1851. Maria had two children, Lilla Frances Babcock and William Augustus Phelps.
