Henry was the son of John Arts and Margaret Yopp. About 1916 he married Gertrude Fisher and they had three children: Josephine, Henry, and Alice. Henry was a lifelong railroad employee. At the time of his death he was an accountant for the North Carolina & St.Louis Railroad. He died at the age of 71.
