Arthur W. Cameron
Arthur W Cameron was born in Indiana and when his father James moved to the growing community of Burlinton Iowa in 1837, Arthur was only 4 yrs old.
When he was a teenager in 1849, Arthur traveled west to the Gold Rush area in central California with his older brother James B and future brother-in-laws David R Remick, John S David and Jacob Leffler.
Weeks after the California State Census was taken in 1852, Arthur W Cameron died in Stockton, California. Family tradition says that he died from typhoid fever which he contracted during his travels to the Gold fields in California.
