David B. Adams M.D., loved horseback riding, swimming, reading, leather working, nature, history, vintage firearms and playing college basketball. An Eagle Scout, then Ensign in the United States Navy, he graduated Stanford Medical School. He retired from his radiology practice in 1986. He was married 54 years to his beloved Irene, who died in 2003.

They are survived by their two daughters Mary Elizabeth Rathburn (Joe), and Therese Muranaka (Jason, son, Jay-Michael).

After Irene's death he wrote and published over 21 novels under his pen name Adam Dumphy.

A brave, wise, humble, intelligent and gentle man, he will be sorely missed.
