Doris was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the youngest daughter of the late Giuseppe "Joe" and Fenesia (Eusebi) Pascucci. Her parents, naturalized American citizens, were originally from the Adriatic coastal towns of Fano and Pesaro, in Italy. After attending Springfield schools, Doris met and married Francis (Frank) Conti, also from Springfield, and they moved to South Hadley in 1955. Doris and Frank had four children, Janice (Jan), Frank, David (Dave) and Joseph (Joe). Together with her husband Frank, they owned and operated a very popular restaurant and banquet facility in South Hadley on Route 202, known as Conti’s 202. Doris will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved to cook, and doted on her grandchildren, spending countless hours with them. She also loved animals, especially her dogs, Fritz, Pal, Honey, and Taffy and Brandy. Doris and Frank were married for sixty-four years and were communicants of St. Theresa of Lisieux Church. She was predeceased by her older siblings, a sister, Mary, and brother, Augusto (Gus). Gus moved to Western Australia in the 1960's, and subsequently died while residing in Perth, Western Australia. At the time of her passing, besides her husband and children, she left her sister-in-law, Suzie Conti, seven grandchildren, Derek Hugger, Erin Hugger-Lopez, Heather Conti, Sara Conti, Brandon Conti, Alisha Conti, Deanna Conti, and a great-grandson, Sebastian Lopez, in addition to nieces, nephews, other family, and countless friends. She was 87 years old when she died at the Loomis House nursing facility in Holyoke, surrounded by her family.
