Albert J. 'Toots' St. George was born in Rhode Island to Mathias and Marie St. George. They later moved to Chicopee, Massachusetts where Albert met and married Marie Adamski of Springfield, Massachusetts. After marriage they lived in Chicopee Massachusetts, first in the Willimansett section and then moving to Vadnais Street in the Fairview section. They raised three boys, Leonard 'Lenny', Robert 'Bob', and Marc. Albert was a local resident and athlete who had a tryout as a pitcher with the Brooklyn Dodgers, having been asked to try out by Leo Durocher, before his enlistment in the service during World War II put an end to that dream. He was promoted to sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force. He owned and managed the 'Y Tavern' and the Frontenac Club in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, Massachusetts during the 1950's. He was 55 years old when he died.

Albert and Marie are greatly missed by their sons, family and many friends. May they rest in peace.
