Vera, first child and only daughter born to Harry L. and Minnie (Lerew) Morgan, grew up in Clarkston, WA. When her dad rented a farm near Kooskia, ID, she transferred to the high school where she graduated in May 1934. As a child, she attended Free Methodist Church in Sunnyside, WA, for a while with her mother and brothers. When it closed, they attended United Brethren Church. One night after a revival meeting, Rev. Durston asked her when she was going to give her heart to the Lord. The next night, she went forward and gave her heart to the Lord at age fourteen. After she graduated from high school, she heard about a Bible School in Lewiston, ID, where she applied and was accepted and was one of six students and two teachers. Her teachers got her started teaching a Beginners Sunday School class at Missionary Alliance Church. That began her career of teaching Sunday School for about 50 years. After she attended that Bible School for a short time, she met Rev. A. J. and Maude Stuart and they invited her to go with them to Billings, MT, to attend Northern Rockies Bible School for three years. She was one of about a dozen students there. Vera was united in marriage to William F. Anderson, who was one of the students at the Bible School in Billings, on Aug. 10, 1947, at the Church of God in Harden, MT, following a church service. After their wedding, they moved to Cody, WY, because of a job that only lasted about three months. By Thanksgiving, they moved to Newcastle, WY. To this union were born four sons, Louis Ray, Willis Dale, Marvin Lee and David Francis. Preceding included her mother in 1961, father in 1978, husband, brothers Norman Cecil of Potlatch, ID, in 1985, Harvey Leonard of Deming, NM, Kenneth Burl of Blaine, WA, and Clyde Raymond of Boise, ID. Survivors included: sons Louis (Ilene) of Brighton, Willis (Vicki) of Beaverton, OR, Marvin, David of Niwot, CO; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services held at Brighton Church of God, 295 North 12th Ave., Brighton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled arrangements.
