Sidney grew up in California. Her family moved to Idaho Falls in 1970, and she graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She married Jim on December 17, 1980, in Idaho Falls, and they honeymooned in West Yellowstone. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoyed arts and crafts, flowers, antiques and all kinds of animals, taking in any that needed a home. Clay J. Jensen officiated the graveside service.
