August Fisher [Fischer] was born in Germany circa 1858 to 1860. He married Mary E. Tobias née Stoehr on 6 Dec 1888.

This town was shocked Saturday evening to hear of the death of one of her old citizens, August Fisher, who started the first blacksmith shop in Herkimer 20 years ago. He was buried at Herkimer, Tuesday afternoon. May he rest in peace.
Carl Stettler, of Weatherford, O.T. was here this week to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law, Aug. Fisher.
