Friedrich Fisher [Fischer] was born in Empede, Kreis Neustadt am Rubenberge, Germany and baptized on 18 Oct 1848 in Mariensee, Germany. Friedrich and Mary were married on 22 Nov 1877 in Marysville, Marshall Co., Kansas. They had no children.

OBITUARY:
Funeral of Frederick Fisher
The funeral of Frederick Fisher was held Thursday afternoon at the family home, conducted by Rev. Mallery of the Walnut St. M. E. Church. A large number of the G. A. R. veterans were present. Deceased was born in Hanover, Germany. He was 69 years of age. He enlisted with the 128th Indiana Volunteers when 18 years old and was wounded in the throat at Belton, GA, from which cause he lost his voice about five years ago. He is survived by his wife.

We wish to thank our many neighbors and friends for the assistance and deeds of kindness rendered us during the illness and death of our husband and brother, Frederick Fisher. Especially do we thank the donors of the floral offering.

Obituary and Card of Thanks were found by Dorothy Elaine [Strautman] Summers in a cookbook that had belonged to her mother Alma [Harling] Strautman who was a daughter of Emma [Fischer] Harling.
