Mrs. Estella May Acheson, 82, widow of George Acheson and formerly of Moline, died at St. Joseph's hospital, Pontiac, Mich., last night after a 2-week illness.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Monday afternoon at Knox-Trimble funeral home, Moline. Friends may call at home after 7:30 Sunday evening.

Mrs. Acheson and her husband operated a grocery store at fifth avenue and Twenty-second street, Moline, from 1916 to 1930.

Estella May Austin was born July 12, 1868, in Utica, N.Y., the daughter of Mr. Mrs. William S Austin. She was married to Mr. Acheson Sept. 26, 1886, at Albany, Wis. Mr. Austin died in 1935. She moved moved to Magnolia, Wis., in 1880 where she remained until 1886. The couple then moved to Evansville, Wis., in 1886 and the to Moline in 1916.

Mrs. Acheson was a member of the First Congregational church, Moline, the Dorcas circle of King's Daughters, the Moline Woman's club, the Moline chapter of Royal Neighbors of America.

Dr. Oliver K. Black will officiate at the funeral services, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Acheson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E.L. Birthrong of Birmingham, Mich., and Mrs. Harold Brown of Moline; a sister, Mrs. Charles Doolittle of Janesville, Wis.; two brothers, Harry Austin of Lodi, Wis., and Nathaniel Austin of Sun Prairie, Wis.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
