Died of disease. Some sources say Evanston VA for death, but it's unclear where this is, or if it's misspelled. At the time of death the 37th NC had moved winter quarters from Moss Neck and Guinea Station, Caroline Co., VA., about a mile to Camp Gregg. So he's probably buried somewhere in the surrounding area.
