Juliette E. Aarhus, age 99, of Grand Junction, Colo., and formerly a longtime resident of Faribault, passed away July 17, 2007 at the Family Health West Nursing Home in Fruita, Colo. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, with the Rev. Richard L. Jorgensen, pastor officiating. Internment will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault. Juliette E. Hagen was born on April 26, 1908 near Lake Mills, Iowa, to Even and Joran Hagen. She was a school teacher for many years. On Dec. 23, 1928, she married Alvin J. Aarhus. After moving to Faribault, Minn., in 1945 and raising her family, she was employed by the Faribo Woolen Mills until her retirement. She was active in the First English Lutheran Church where she played the organ and sang in the choir. Juliette moved to Grand Junction, Colo., in 2005 to be hear her son. She is survived by her son, Donley L. Aarhus of Grand Junction, Colo.; a grandson, Justin S. Pittman of Wolernie, Minn.; a granddaughter, Jenny L. Ubel of Denver, Colo.; and a sister, Thelma Swanson of Mission, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; and two daughters, Judy Kirby and Darlene Johnson
