Mrs. Carl (Hattie) Abbe, 67, of 209 E. Mill St. in Owatonna passed away away Thursday evening at the Owatonna Nursing Home. She was born in Merton Township on May 13, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schlobohm. She married Carl Abbe on May 24, 1922, and they farmed in Rice county until 1947 when they moved to Owatonna. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Golden Age Club. Mrs. Abbe is survived by her husband; one son, Vernon Abbe of Minneapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Ervin (Betty) Kuntz of Owatonna, three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Luetke of Eureka, Calif. and Mrs. Emma Bauer of HIll City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harvey Ehlers officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Friends may call at the Conley-Wollin Chapel in Owatonna from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and at the church for one hour preceding the services.
