Funeral services for Frank A. Ableman, 64, of Wells Township, Route 5, Faribault, were held on Dec. 27, at St. Luke's United Church of Christ with the Rev. A. M. Guthmiller officiating. Interment was made in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Bongers, Gerald Bultman, Roy Hickey, Leo Friesen, William Reuvers and Ogden Wahlstrom. Nancy Bultman, organist, accompanied Ervin Boelke, soloist, as he sang, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art." Frank A. Ableman was born on Dec. 23, 1905, in Cannon City Township, Rice County, to Herman and Wilhemina Grote Ableman. He resided in the Faribault area his entire life. He was united in marriage on Nov. 29, 1929, to Dorothy Siedshlag, who passed away on May 1, 1959. On March 23, 1963, he was united in marriage to Esther Borgstahl. He farmed in Wells Township and was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ. Mr. Ableman, who passed away at his home on Dec. 25, is survived by his widow, Esther; one daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Vivian) Van Esch of Medford; one son, Donald Ableman; four grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Michael Lee of Kenyon, Viola Ableman of Faribault and Mrs. Frieda Schoen of Medford. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter. Friends and relatives attended the funeral from Medford, Kenyon, San Diego, Calif., Mankato and Northfield.
