RAFAEL APEZTEGUIA

Funeral services for Rafael Apezteguia, 26, Flaming Gorge Trailer Court, Green River, were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, the Rev. Michael Butler officiating. Burial was in the Paul J. Wataha Memorial Park section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jesus Garate, Jesus Jorajuria, Pedro Arrasito, Pedro Urroz, Alejandro Juancorena, Benaido Bezierrica and Batista Mendeguia.

Rosary was recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Vase Funeral Home.

Mr. Apezteguia died Saturday, Oct. 5, as the result of a 40-foot fall from a steel frame beam at the Allied Chemical plant west of Green River.

He was born March 16, 1948, at Sunbilla, Navarra, Spain.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Apezteguia of Sunbilla, Spain; two brothers, Juan Miguel of Corenna, Maine, and Jose of Sunbilla; two sisters, Mrs. Maria Mercedes Gamboa of Monrovia, Calif., and Maria Ester Elizondo of Sunbilla, and several nieces and nephews.
