♫♫ R.I.P. Gefallen in Afghanistan ♫♫

Robert Hartert was born in Freital, Saxony, in 1984. After school, he did a professional education, obtaining an associate degree in business administration.

In 2006, Robert Hartert joined the paratroops. He loved the service he did for the military, as this nicely combined his love for sports that he had been doing since his early childhood.

And while his paratroops were based in Seedorf, his heart remained in Saxony. This did not change the reputation Robert Hartert had for being a loving and caring friend, both reliable and good-natured.

Robert Hartert planned to move into a mutual flat with his girlfriend right after coming back from Afghanistan.

On God Friday, in the District of Chahar Darreh, approximately 3.8 miles West of Kunduz, Afghanistan, Stabsgefreiter (= Staff Corporal) Robert Hartert, along with two more fellow soldiers sadly lost their lives in the lines of fire.

German Chancellor Mrs Angela Merkel and the German Minister of Defence, Dr Karl-Theodor Freiherr zu Guttenberg, attended the Memorial Service for Robert Hartert and his comrades on April 9, 2010, in Selsingen.

Robert Hartert leaves behind to mourn him his partner, family and many friends and comrades, not only in Wilsdruff, his hometown, but also in Seedorf.

Thanks ever so much, ((((Reilly)))), for kindly sponsoring Robert's memorial page.
