Evy was a Sunday schoolteacher and member of the choir at the Church of Peace for many years. She played Hawaiian guitar and enjoyed playing cards, working puzzles, and playing bingo. She worked with her husband Ray in the flower concession in the Country Store parking lot. She enjoyed visits with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
SURVIVORS: stepson, Raymond L. W. Abitz and his wife Mary Webster-Abitz, of Juneau, sister, Ruth Cleveland of Waupaca, two grandchildren, Tina (Ken) Prust of Beaver Dam, and Wendy Fields of Beaver Dam, three great-grandchildren, Derek Abitz of Beaver Dam, Maalik Fields of Beaver Dam, Jacob Prust of Beaver Dam, brother in law, Norman (Lois) Abitz, special friend, Patricia J. Abitz of Beaver Dam, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Victoria Bacon, brother in law, Ray Cleveland, brother in law, John Bacon.

VISITATION: Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Ray Field officiating. Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until the time of services. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
