OBITUARY: The Belleville Telescope, Feb. 3, 1905
Flora Eliza Ream was born March 22, 1859 near New Madison, Darke, Co., Ohio. She came to Kansas in 1877, was married to Lemuel Alkire Nov. 6, 1879. To this union was born a son and daughter who with her husband survives. She departed this life, Jan. 29, 1905, aged 45 years, 10 months and 7 days.
At an early age she joined the United Brethren church and after coming to Kansas joined the M. E. church of Belleville, of which she remained a consistent member.
The funeral services were conducted at the home January 31st by Rev. J. L. King, after which a large procession of sympathizing friends followed the remains to their last resting place in Grace Hill cemetery.
