Mr. E.A. Blythe Dies Suddenly
The news of the sudden passing of Mr. Evans Blythe, Friday evening, August 28th, came as a distinct shock to his family and many friends.
Our hearts are so heavily weighted with sorrow that has overwhelmed us in the going of this good man, we cannot think coherently or fully evaluate his years of loving living and serving among us. We know that the influence of such a life lives on, while he rests from his labors.
Mr. Blythe was a young man of sterling qualities and was active in his church and business life, until his health began to fail, at which time he was forced to give up both. Surely, his was a victorious life and he had an abundance entrance, his going has brought heaven nearer and while we await that reunion, the highest tribute we can pay his memory, will be an earnest effort on our part to measure up to the ideals and examples he set in Christian service.
Mr. Blythe, was born February 25th, 1896, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blythe. Most of his life was spent in this community, for he was only eleven years of age when his parents moved here. He was married on July 7th, 1926, to Miss Minnie Reid of Ellaville, who survives him. He is also survived by one brother, Mr. W.A. Blythe, of Junction City.
Burial was in Junction City Cemetery on Sunday afternoon at four o'clock, with Rev. Earl Dunn and Rev. H.J. Fussell officiating.
