Robert H. Boettger, 86, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at his residence in Port Arthur.
Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
Robert was born on January 13, 1920, in Leroy, Texas to Lydia Zoch Boettger and Hugo Carl Boettger. He had lived in Port Arthur for over 60 years and was a retired pipefitter for Texaco Oil Refinery for 36 years. He was a member of the O.C.A.W. # 423 in Port Arthur, Trinity Lutheran Church and was a World War II Army Veteran. Robert loved to go fishing and also loved gardening, growing many vegetables for his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Eula M. Theriot Boettger of Port Arthur; son, Robert C. "R.C." Boettger and his wife Alisha of Houston; daughter Terry Lynn Babin and her husband Steven of Nederland; grandchildren, Amanda Babin of Plantation, Florida, Andy Boettger of Houston, Brock Babin of Nederland and Cortney Boettger of Houston; one great granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Boettger of Houston.
