Mrs. Mary Altus, 87, Dies; Rites Held Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Altus, 87, of Leroy were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Gerald with Rev. Otto Marshall officiating. Burial was in Gerald Cemetery.
Mrs. Altus died Thursday morning in a West hospital.
Mrs. Altus was born in Robinson and had lived in the Leroy area 60 years. She was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Gerald. Mrs. Altus husband, Willie Altus, died in 1958.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Syrana) Snider of Leroy; three sons, Rudolph Altus and Herbert Altus, both of Leroy, and Robert Altus of Sheridan, Ore.; two brothers, Henry Schaepher and Gus Schaepher, both of Robinson; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Stass of Waco and Mrs. Willie (Selma) Peplow of Robinson; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Altus, Bob Altus, Tommy Altus, Don Richter, Harold Schrader and Alfred Schaepher.
Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
