Melva June Brinsfield. Born September 16, 1933, in Hickory, Oklahoma, to Melvin Keith and Willie Brents Underhill, she died on January 23, 2006, at the local hospital. Married to Dean Alton Brinsfield on March 17, 1951, in Okmulgee, she was a homemaker and had been a resident of Ardmore almost 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Senior Adult 4 Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 23, 1994; a brother, Mike Underhill, and her parents. Survivors include a son, Doug Brinsfield and his wife, LouAnn, Tulsa; a daughter, Deanna Hadden, Bakersfield, California; a brother, Carl Underhill, Elgin; sister, Mary Payne, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren, Christopher Brinsfield, Kelly and Nicole Hadden. Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
