Retha Baker was born May 13, 1918, at Muldrow, Okla., the daughter of Issac Phillip Howell and Rosie Montgomery Howell. She died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Retha was one of 13 siblings. She grew up in the

She and Carl Baker were married Feb. 11, 1936, at Bixby, Okla. Retha had moved to the Bixby and Leonard area in 1933. She and Carl lived in Leonard for many years until Carl's death in 1988 when Retha moved to Bixby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 12 siblings, Opal Howell, Vola Edwards, Vadis Walters, Eula Pittmen, Faye Butcher, Clyde Howell, John Howell, Violet Young, Dorothy Ramsey, Bonnie McDaniel, Lera Hansen and Margie Bell; her husband, Carl Baker in 1988.
