James M Benjamine, the son of Russell and Phebe Coulter Benjamine, was born on Feb 15, 1849 and departed this life at the home of his son, Dave, in Georgetown on January 25, 1944, at the advanced age of 94 years, 11 months and 10 days. All of this unusually long life was spent in Brown and Clermont Counties, where he was well and favorable known. In his early life he united with the Methodist Church, at Mt. Zion. He was united in marriage to Nancy Ann Beckett, who preceded him in death. To this union 9 children were born: Mary Phebe, Eva L, Catherine Ellen, Beda Frances, William Russell, Edward Lewis, James David, Della J and Mamie Lee. They are all buried in Confidence Cemetery.
