Son of Isaac Henry Barrett and Ella Minerva Sweeney-Smith. Married Margaret Lillean Jewell 1916. Daughter Ruth. (Enid Newspaper 04/19/1944) OLIVER H. BARRETT IS TAKEN BY DEATH A pioneer of northern Oklahoma, Oliver H. Barrett, 75, died Tuesday morning at his home at Waukomis. He came from Kansas at the opening of The Cherokee Strip and settled on a farm near Newkirk here he lived until 1907 when he moved to Waukomis. Survivors are his wife, Margaret, of the home at Waukomis, two daughters, Mrs. Allen Brakke of Los Angeles, Calif., Miss Maxine Barrett of Ponca City, and two brothers, A. J. of Oklahoma City, M. R. of Eldorado, Kans., and a half brother, J. B. Powell of Wichita. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Brown funeral Home.
