Frances F Adams, daughter of the late Anslem and Elizabeth Strothcamp Blum, was born on February 2, 1911 in Crawford County, Missouri and departed this life on April 8, 1992 at the Sullivan, Missouri having attained the age of 81 years, 2 months and 6 days,
Frances was a lifelong resident of the bourbon area where she was employed at the Paramount Cap Factory in Bourbon, Missouri and then later at the International Shoe Company in Sullivan, Missouri. In the early 1950's she opened and operated the Cottage Inn Restaurant in Bourbon, Missouri until ill health forced her retirement in 1986.
In March 27, 1928 she was united in marriage to John Peterson who preceded her in death on January 4, 1961.
Surviving her are: two sons, John Peterson and wife, Vera, and James Peterson, all of Bourbon, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Peterson of Bourbon, Missouri; a sister, Theresa Mathias of Sullivan, Missouri; two brothers, Bill Blum of Bourbon, Missouri and Frank Blum of Sullivan, Missouri; six grandchildren, Michael Peterson, Gary Peterson, Debra Bond, Terry Peterson, Robert Peterson Jr., Diane Peterson; 11 great-grandchildren, Tresa Bissan, Heather Peterson, Tonya Adams, Chris Peterson, Sarah Peterson, Tim Peterson, Meagan Peterson, Michael Peterson, a great-grandson, Zachery Bisson; other relatives and many friends.
She was a lifelong member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Bourbon, Missouri.
Besides those previously mentioned she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Peterson; a great-grandson, Terry James Peterson Jr.; a sister, Alvina Blum; and a brother, Harry Blum.
Memorial services were held at 7 P.M. Friday, April 10, 1992 by the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services were held at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 11, 1992 from Hassebroek's Bourbon Chapel in Bourbon with Sr. Rose officiating/ Interment was in the Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
