Mr. Boyce served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Atlantic City Tuna Club, the Sons of the American Revolution, Col. Richard Somers Chapter, and the American Legion.
He was born in Philadelphia and formerly resided in Margate. Until his retirement in 1986, he was an operating engineer with Local 825, Little Falls.
Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Leek; three sons, Robert 2nd of Margate, James of Linwood, and Patrick of Atlantic City; two daughters, Carol-Anne Heinisch of Salisbury, Md., and Egg Harbor Township, and Judith Anne Zappala of Egg Harbor Township; one sister, Betty Foell of Huntingdon Valley, Pa.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Wednesday in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Atlantic City.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, Linwood. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona.
