Valentine Edward Binkowski, 84, of Beaufort, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Copeland Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beaufort National Cemetery.
Mr. Binkowski was born June 28, 1921, in Philadelphia, Penn., a son of William Binkowski and Caroline Ellis Binkowski.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired truck driver for Cooper-Jarrett Trucking Company in Philadelphia.
He was a former member of the Teamster Local Union 107 in Philadelphia and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Beaufort.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Ernst Binkowski of Beaufort; a son, Mike Binkowski of Beaufort; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
