Conway-Joshua Jackson Allen, age 24, of Hwy. 90, died Thursday, January 21, 2010. Joshua was born in Louisville, KY, the son of Rev. Larry Eugene Allen and Renee' Jackson Allen. He was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church and attended Jamestown Baptist Church. Joshua was employed by Roche Carolina Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Florence. He was Valedictorian of the 2003 graduating class at Richard Winn Academy in Winnsboro, SC. Joshua was a graduate of Clemson University School of Engineering where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of the National Society of Chemical Engineers. Surviving in addition to his parents of Conway are one sister, Lea Michelle Allen of Conway; maternal grandmother, Annette Jackson of Conway. Service of Celebration will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Buck Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
