He is survived by his wife, Helen (nee Gray) Abrams, married July 17, 1965, four (4) children, Gentry "Andy"(Tammy) Abrams, Veronica "Ronnie" Voyles, David (Connie) Gibson and Diane Norton Schroeter, nine (9) grandchildren, Christy Gibson, Ann (Bill) Kelly, Andy (Gidgett) Gibson, Richard "Anson" (Amanda) Norton III, Donald (Jamie) Gibson, Alicia Norton, Anthony Gibson, Kayla Gibson, and Jared Schroeter, fourteen (14) great grandchildren, one (1) brother, Wayne (Betsie) Abrams of Clarksville, Tennessee, and many other relatives and friends.
Al was a well loved man. He proudly served in the United States Navy as well as the International Guard. He worked for and retired from Southwestern Bell. He was a dedicated member of the Lions Club and served as president for four terms. Al loved hunting, especially for deer and ducks. He was never known to have any enemies. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
