Mr. Adams was a class of 1947 graduate of Duke University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
He was drafted into the U.S. Navy, becoming a Lieutenant and member of the V12 Program. He was employed with Sunoco as a sales representative, covering five states, and had his own company, Petrolube Corporation, for more than 20 years. He was very active and was a founding member of the Shallotte River Power Squadron.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Mae Foulon Adams; a son, Eric David Adams; and a daughter, Cindy Adams, all of Carolina Shores.
