Francis Alan Bidelspach, 80, of Corinth, TX, entered into eternal peace on Friday, June 27, 2014. Fran was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary A. Gavason Bidelspach. Born on September 23, 1933 in Sunbury, PA, Fran was the son of the late Roy and Burnell Bidelspach. He was a 1951 graduate of Sunbury High School. After graduation, Fran attended Bloomsburg State College and was a member of the 1951 Championship Football team. Fran then spent three years in the United States Marine Corps. It was at this time, that Fran stole the heart of his late wife, Mary Gavason. They were married on October 23, 1954 and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this October. Fran worked in several sales positions over the years; Hanover Brands, Proctor and Gamble, Reynolds Aluminum, Oyster Shell and the Fox Company. Fran also owned Bair's Chicken in the local farmer markets. Fran enjoyed watching college football and leading the pack with the neighborhood picnics. Fran is survived by children; Craig Bidelspach of Corinth, TX, Kevin Bidelspach and his wife Marcee of Hanover, PA, David Bidelspach and his wife Veronika of Houston, TX, Brian Bidelspach and his wife Tamera of Corinth, TX and Lori Bidelspach Wadding and husband Mark of Flower Mound, TX. Fran is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Jarron Moore, Tonna Smith, Kelin Bidelspach, Christopher Meeker, Tanner Bidelspach, Brandea Bidelspach, Dylan Martinez, Jack Wadding, Max Wadding, Cooper Wadding, Claudette Bidelspach and 1 great grandson, Loudon Smith. Fran was preceded in death by sister, Sandra Cooper. He is survived by a brother Ronald Bidelspach, sisters Joyce McCarthy and Doreen Callinan. Final internment will be done privately at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
