Dolores Adams passed away at Greenwood Leflore Hospital on Wed, Jan 26, 2011, at the age of 87. She was a loving mother and wife, born to parents who emigrated from Russia just prior to the Russian revolution. She and her late husband, Albert Adams, a Distinguished Flying Cross recipient, were married at the Presidio in San Francisco in 1945 after he had flown 25 missions over Germany as a B-17 bomber pilot. They lived in Seattle and Chicago before moving to Malvern, PA. There she worked for AT&T and Volkswagen as a data analyst. Upon retirement they moved to Oldsmar, FL, and they traveled extensively, including trips to the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, John F. Lucas IV and Jason Adams, and by her husband of 59 years, Albert A. Adams. She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Marsha Lucas of Greenwood, and one son, Dr. H. Michael Adams of Toronto, Canada, and 6 grandchildren. Visitation was Sun, Jan 30, 2011 at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. followed by the funeral service at 3pm at the church and burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Carrollton, Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Dr. H. Michael Adams, Michael A. Lucas, Dr. John F. Lucas, III, Dr. Aubrey B. Lucas, Dr. Robert H. Lucas, Dr. Richard H. Flowers, III and Michael A. Naaman. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Walter C. Moses and Dr. William B. Jones.
