Born in Manlius, he attended Manlius High School. He retired in 1987 as a sheet metal worker and electrician for Birds Eye in Fulton. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 569 in Fulton. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors: Two daughters, Linda L. Everson of Liverpool and Vickey A. Brennan of Glen Saint Mary, Fla.; two sons, William J. Jr. of Plymouth, Mich., and Robert P. of Detroit; a sister, Patricia G. Dafoe of Remsen; a brother, John of Pennellville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Maurer Funeral Home. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours, 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool.
