Mrs. J.L. Acker Dies

Funeral services were held at the Heburn Methodist Church this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock for Mrs. J. Acker, 62, who died at her home o Centre, Route 2, Sunday afternoon after an illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Downey and burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Surviving are the husband, J.L. Acker; five sons, Marvin, Roy, Orin, Marvin and Harvey Acker; four daughters, Mrs. Bell Woods, Mrs. Lila Chandler, Miss Liller Acker and Miss Vera Acker.
Mrs. Acker had lived in Cherokee County since early childhood and had been a member of the Methodist Church many years. She was widely known and was regarded as a woman of the highest character by those who knew her.
