I was told by her son Emil that when she was a young woman she had gone to church one Sunday morning and another woman there had complimented her on what a nice dress she had on. After the service she met the same lady in the parking lot, took off the dress and gave it to her and went home in her slip.
When asked about the incident she said that that poor woman needed that new dress worse than she did.
