I, J. Wathen, manager of this memorial, am the great-grandniece of Lewis' wife, Mary Josephine (Roberts) Bedker.

Lewis Elmer Bedker

Lewis Elmer Bedker, son of Fred and Anna Laird Bedker, was born August 23, 1882 near Centralia and died March 17, 1953 at the Anderson County hospital, Garnett, Kans., at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 24 days.

He was united in marriage to Mary Josephine Roberts on January 15, 1901. To this union four sons and two daughters were born. His wife, two sons and one daughter preceded him in death.

On August 26, 1944 he was united in marriage to Linnie June Thompson of Garnett. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Guy Leroy Bedker of Sharon Springs and Dennis Fred Bedker of North Platte, Nebraska and by one daughter, Alice Faye Bruce, San Francisco, California. There are nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Floyd Bedker of Stockton and Elza Bedker of Grand View, Wash., five stepsons and three stepdaughters.

Graveside services were held at the Centralia cemetery, the Rev. Ira Willard officiated. Pallbearers were Ernest Swan, Clyde Moyer, Eugene Moyer, Arthur Nightingale, Sam Ayers, and Steve Stalcup.
