Emma L. Wohler
The funeral for Mrs. Emma L. Wohler, 92, was Monday, Aug. 20, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Sylvan Grove, the Rev. Delbert Meyer officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery, Sylvan Grove.
Mrs. Wohler, one of the city's oldest residents, died Friday [Aug. 17] at the Lincoln county hospital, Lincoln. She had lived at the Lucas rest home for 1 1/2 years prior to entering the hospital.
Mrs. Wohler was born Dec. 2, 1880, at Courtland, Ind. The family farmed near Sylvan Grove until Mrs. Wohler's husband, Oscar, died in 1954, when she moved into the city.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Surviving are five sons, William and Clarence, both of Sylvan Grove; Edwin, Riverside, Calif.; Elmer, Seattle, Wash.; and Paul, Raytown, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Stoneman, Salina, and Mrs. Leona Burrow, Russell, and 12 grandchildren.
