Jerry Ray (Copenhagen) Adkins, 57, of Tuscumbia, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Shoals Hospital.

Mr. Adkins was a native of Franklin County but had lived in Tuscumbia for the past five years. He was a member of Charity Chapel Church and a retired truck driver for Vision Industries/Jet Corp.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with Devile Keil officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at the funeral home.

He is survived by wife, Peggy Adkins; stepsons, Aaron Jerrell and Wendell Greenleaf and wife, Leigh; grandchildren, Hannah and Shane Greenleaf; uncle, Paul Adkins; aunt, Dot Franks; nephews, Tommy Steward and Bobby Steward.
He was preceded in death by son, J.R. Adkins; parents, Raymond and Pauline Adkins; grandparents, Bert and Nellie Franks, Clarence Adkins and Bertha Whitman; brother, Charles Steward; and uncle, Jerry Franks.

Pallbearers will be Paul West, Jerry Woods, Bernardo Castillo, Daryl Gholston, Herman Castillo and Jack Streetman.

Honorary bearers will be Pete Colborn and Judson Clark.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
