MARTHA CARTER dies November 19, 1993
Martha Louise Carter, a lifelong resident of Leavenworth, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1993, at St. John Hospital. She was 83.
She was born Jan. 7, 1910, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Gustav and August Fischer Schonherr. She was a homemaker and a Protestant.
She married Marion Lee Carter on April 18, 1932, in Leavenworth. He died on Aug. 30, 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie L. Stephens, Lansing, and Martha L. Flanders, Leavenworth; a son, Marion L. Carter, Leavenworth; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carter was also proceeded in death by 5 sisters, five brothers. and a son.
Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home funeral home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. John L. Skinner will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
