Aloysius Fink
Aloysius "Paul" Fink, 70, of rural Leavenworth passed away Friday, Feb 20, 2009, at his residence.
Paul was born May 2, 1938, in Leavenworth the son of Alois and Matilda (Gates) Fink. He attended Bell Grade School and Immaculata High School.
He served in the United States Army, both active and national guard.
He married Kathleen Marie Rush on July 2, 1966, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2002.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Local Union 101 until his retirement. He farmed and raised cattle all his life, and loved to restore International tractors.
He is survived by two daughters, Lori Ann Hayes and her husband Mike of Lansing and Lisa Marie Fink Ogawa of Hopkinton, Mass.; one brother, John Fink and his wife Marlene of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Theresa Rush of Leavenworth, Mary Ellen Garrison and her husband James of Leavenworth and Helen Messinger of Lansing; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one infant brother, Richard Fink.
Pallbearers will be Jim Murphy, Tim and Michael Goetz, Dennis and Mark Baragary and Chris John Fink.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at St. Joseph of the Valley Catholic Church, with the Rev. Neal Stull officiating. Visitation with a rosary was on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Belden Larkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph of the Valley Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials in his name may be directed to St. Joseph of the Valley, cemetery fund, altar society or general fund.
